Gaeomang Creative Studio(GCS) presents Seungkyu Jung's solo exhibition Belly with Head and Chest from September 15 to October 9, 2022. Seungkyu Jung graduated from Dept. of Sculpture, Hongik University and has been working on various media such as video, installation, sculpture, and performance. Jung has tried to capture the object in a state that is not fixed or difficult to determine and express it in visual language. Recently, Jung has been interested in stories between technology, body, and sense.

Installed the video, sculpture, and installation work as new works are in the exhibition. Jung re-edits historical fragments of the past as well as biological approaches. These montages of the insect's biological approach to being read differently in various expressions of images, symbols, and language depending on the political ideology of the time. His work extends to re-thinking and resisting through the metaphorical reduction of the historical lag in insects and the current perception of social problems in expressions.
