Kang Hyunseon graduated from Seoul National University with a BFA in Western painting and received MFAs from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and a PhD from Middlesex University. Kang also completed doctoral courses in the Department of Art of Seoul National University. In 2005, the artist was awarded the Award of Excellencein the JoongAng Fine Arts Prize competition. She first presented her works at SADI Window Gallery and Galleria Milarte in Milan, Italy, and has held the solo exhibitions 《Hidden Passage》 in 2012 at Motor Gallery in Lisbon, Portugal; 《Dual City》 at Gong Art Space in Seoul, Korea; and 《Apart-Scape》 in 2014 at the KAIST Research & Art Gallery in Seoul, Korea.
