Uesung Lee earned his BFA in Fine Art Education from Inha University in 2009 and his MFA from the Glasgow School of Art in the United Kingdom, in 2016. In 2017, Lee held his first solo exhibition 《Drawing Laboratory》 at Insa Art Space in Seoul. He was the finalist of the Griffin Art Prize 2016 by Griffin Gallery (London, UK) and was selected as one of the “Artists of 2017” by the ARKO Creative Academy of the Art Council Korea. He was the recipient of the 2nd Prize at the 18th SongEun Art Award by the SongEun Art and Cultural Foundation (2018). In 2019, Lee was selected at the SARUBIA Open Call for Artists by Project Space SARUBIA.
