Jun Hyoung San majored in Painting at Chugye University of the Arts and later studied Media Art at Yonsei University Graduate School of Communication and Arts. His work structuralizes non-music sounds using analog devices and equipment and manipulates them in such a way that they acquire social and cultural significance. His solo exhibitions include 《Reverberation Time》 (Insa Art Space, Seoul, 2018), 《Unexpected Sound》 (Banjul-Schale, Seoul, 2015) and 《New Normal: a priori bits》 (The Medium, Seoul, 2015). In 2016, he carried out a sound performance during the Event for the10th Anniversary of the death of Nam June Paik. Jun was selected to enter in the 38th JoongAng Fine Arts Prize competition during the same year.
