Kim Junmyong

Kim Junmyong received his BFA in Ceramics and Glass from Hongik University in 2006 and his MFA from Korea National University of Arts in 2012. His solo exhibitions include 《As I Look》 (Space O’Newwall, Seoul, 2014), 《Elegant Hobby》 (Gallery Meme, Seoul, 2017), and 《Unbearable Weightiness of Being》(SongEun Art Cube, Seoul, 2019). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions such as 《Korea Tomorrow》 (Sungkok Art Museum, Seoul, 2015), 《Korea National University of Arts 20th Anniversary Exhibition》 (Art Sonje Center, Seoul, 2016) and 《URNEN, European Ceramic Workcentre》(Oisterwijk, the Netherlands, 2017). Kim was selected as one of the leading emerging artists by Mercedes-Benz Korea in 2013 and was the recipient of an exhibition grant from the Seoul Foundation of Arts and Culture (2014). In 2019, he was chosen as one of the artists to exhibit in the international competition platform at the 10th Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale.
