Eom Jeongwon

Eom Jeongwon is a visual artist working with video, installation, drawing and performance. Underpinning her practice is an interest in ways of seeing that includes perspectives on human and nature, hallucinations, scientific belief, and images influenced by mass media. Her practice is as much concerned with the truth of a documentary as subjectivity and imagination that manipulate fictional worlds. By expressing actual experiences with individuals’ memories and marginalized history, she explores how one individual can creatively envisage their environment and make the territory surrounding it expand and grow. Eom has participated in several exhibitions and screenings at OVNi Video Art Festival, Gwangju media art Festival, Experimental Film and Video festival in Seoul, Gyeongnam Museum of Art, and Bloomsbury Theatre.
