Kwon Hayoun earned her BFA in Art Plastique from the École supérieure des beaux-arts de Nantes Métropole in 2006 and BFA in Arts Visuels from the same school in 2008. She went on to pursue a post-graduate program at Le Fresnoy - Studio national des arts contemporains, which she completed in 2011. She held her first solo exhibition 《Bird Lady》 in 2017 at Palais de Tokyo and her second solo exhibition 《LEVITATION》 in 2018 at DOOSAN Gallery in Seoul. Kwon has also participated as a guest artist in several group exhibitions, including the 2014 and 2018 Busan Biennale, 《The Principle of Uncertainty》 (National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Seoul, 2017), 《Imaginary Asia》 (Nam June Paik Art Center, Seoul, 2017) and 《MADE IN Seoul》 (Centre D'art contemporain de Meymac, France, 2016). The winner of the 2017 DOOSAN Artist Award, Kwon also clinched several international awards, such as the 2015 Palais de Tokyo Emerging Talent Award (prix Talent émergent) and an award from the European Media Art Festival 2014.
