Kim Nam Hoon

Kim Nam Hoon completed a diploma degree in Fine Arts (Freien Kunst) from the Kunstakademie Münster in Germany, receiving the title of Meisterschüler from Professors Maik and Dirk Löbbert. He held his first solo exhibition 《greenline》 in 2003 at the Ilmin Museum of Art (Cafe-imA) in Seoul. His 2013 solo exhibition, titled 《co-dominance》, was held in Kunstakademie Münster (Ausstellungsraum A3, Germany). In 2018, Kim’s work was shown in 《We Were Just Trying to Figure Out Where We Were》, an installment in the exhibition series at space imsi. He has also participated in group exhibitions such as the 2002 Gwangju Biennale and 《Cheonggyecheon Project: People Walking on Water》 (Seoul Museum of Art, 2003). Kim was selected by the magazine Art In Culture as the “New Face Artist” of 2002. In 2012, he won the QQART Audience Choice Award by the QQTec e. V. (Hilden, Germany). He was an artist-in-residence at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Goyang Studio in 2017 and at the OCI Museum in 2018.
