Juen Jiin studied Media Art at the Kaywon University of Art and Design and received her MFA in Visual Art from the School of Visual Arts at the Korea National University of Arts. Her installation works use text and spaces that are echoes of social norms and customs to shine a light on the relationship between individuals and society. Juen’s work has been shown in solo exhibitions including 《Dear Friday, I’m so glad we are back together》 (Plan B project space, Seoul, 2018) and 《Between You》 (Gallery 175, Seoul, 2014), as well as numerous group exhibitions. She has been an artist-in-residence at the Gyeonggi Creation Center, K’ARTS Studio (Korea National University of Arts) and the Kwon, Jin-kyu Atelier. She is currently working on projects based on the fragments of daily life she has come across.
