Lee Byungchan (b.1987) has consistently paid attention to the ecosystem of capital. Lee’s practice consists of plastic creatures, investigating into fluctuating phenomena caused by capitalistic obsession with objects and transforming mass of urban environments into time. Visualising the intangible material—capital, he constructs certain paces and spaces by adopting his experiences of capitalistic energy driven into newly-developed cities. His solo exhibitions opened at p21 〈White Elephant, 2019〉 and at Songeun Art Cube 〈The Camouflaged Dried Pollak, 2017〉 in Seoul.
