Korean Video Art Archives [THE STREAM] is an archiving project for Korean new media art and video art. [THE STREAM] is moving image based art sharing system, and THE STREAM’s purpose is to build a search database. Also THE STREAM will construct an artist support system in round about way, which will be based upon the study and research of Korean New Media Art and Korean Video Art. In Korea, diverse video-based artworks have been produced, but there is no platform where people can search and share the works. Thus, THE STREAM combines the online platform, where anyone can have full access to the artworks, and the offline screening system in order to provide people with more opportunities to see Korean media artists’ works.
