MoPS presents Kyungwoo CHUN’s solo exhibition, the first ‘photo exhibition’ in nearly 10 years in Korea. For him, who has been crossed the boundaries and flexibly expanding the field of performance, video, installation, and public art, giving a special meaning on his returning to photography could be contradictory. However, as he said, “Performance is also an extended photography,” what made CHUN to open the prospect in his work the most is the question that originated from his photographic experiences, so photography is core key to understanding his overall career.

The exhibition title, The Weight, is the name of his project, conducted in France in 2016. But it is also a keyword that reflects his various ideas on photography. He wants to put this "weight" in the picture in his own way, which is a physical weight, and a psychological and symbolic weight at the same time.
