JEONG was one of the finalists of “The Columbia Threadneedle Prize” in 2012 and the “Joongang Fine Art Prize” in 2008. Her works are part of art collections such as “Tiroche DeLeon Collection”, “National Museum of Modern, Contemporary Art, Korea” and “OCI Museum of Art”, Seoul. JEONG currently lives and works in Seoul.

She combine traditional ink painting techniques with abstract expressionism. Distinctive qualities of multiple forms and lines coexist in the same panels. The meticulously fine details of repeated motifs form unique “inkscapes” with a sense of tranquil airiness. Meanwhile, she uses bold vivid lines and collage layers to disrupt the still orderliness. Jeong constructs in her works a staggering visual tension with complexity and harmony.

Lulu NGIE

Lulu NGIE (b.1972, Hong Kong) graduated from Hong Kong Art School in 2006, majoring in painting. NGIE’s works follow a tradition in Chinese ink painting, Yi-bi. These visualisations of Chinese philosophy are part of her constant search for meaning.

She paints with a state of mind and fundamentals of Eastern ink painting traditions. Her recent oil paintings continue to display her profound understanding of ink as artistic medium, utilizing a variety of brush strokes. She depicts compositions and human figures with conciseness and simplicity.

Hilarie HON

Hilarie HON (b. 1994, Hong Kong), graduated with a BA Visual Arts (Hons) at Academy of Visual Arts, Hong Kong Baptist University in 2016. She is known for her outlandish worlds with vivid tones.

She explores in her recent works the concept of “seeing” and “be seen” in paintings. The canvas frame is an essential medium to showcase a painting, yet it separates the painted world from the exhibition space.
