Gallery Hyundai is presenting a solo exhibition by Lee Kun-Yong through October 31. Lee Kun-Yong is the most influential figures in the Korean avant garde movement and considered a master of Korean experimental art. He works in diverse media such as performance, video, sculpture, and installaion and he consistently incorporates his own body to create his works. He explores the "essense of art" and questioned the relationship between the object created by the artist, the space, and the viewers. The main themes are "the body", "place", "relationships".

The Bodyscape series reflects his ideas concerning the body, place, and relationships. These exhibited works demonstrates the marks left by the move of the artist. Lee is creating the works in an unconventional way. For example, he stand behind a canvas and make drawings on the front or in the side, standing adjacent to the canvas. By moving his arms, he creates certain shapes leaving the traces of his movements. Although the artist do not intend to create the certain shape, such as 'heart', he controls whole creation process, producing a rich, colorful harmonious painting.
