Pyo Gallery presents Taeho Kim’s solo exhibition from September 15 to October 27 at the main building. Taeho Kim, who passed away suddenly on the 4th, is renowned as a representative artist of Korean monochrome and abstract paintings.
Taeho Kim had been carving a thick layer of color painted in a vertical and horizontal grid structure on the canvas to create a rhythm of the paint layer, and the tightly filled square form had made his own rules. By repeating the same act for a long time, he made consistent patterns within the painting that become a cosmic space where rhythms and rules coexist based on order, reducing the chance. Presented in this exhibition is his iconic series of Internal Rhythm, with digital works. Showcased a total of 26 artworks is in the whole floor.
